Two new art galleries to open in Georgetown

Two new galleries plan to open in Georgetown in late July and early August.


The Artisans' Workbench will open a new boutique gallery as an extension of its current gallery on Aug. 6. Its first exhibit will feature local artisan work including paintings, jewelry, sculptures and more. The Estrada Garcia Gallery had a soft opening but plans to fully open Aug. 1. It is located at 206 W. 10th St., Georgetown. The gallery showcases the work of owner Judith Estrada Garcia as well as other local artists, such as Manuel Miranda. Estrada Garcia's work is also on display at Lamppost Coffee in Georgetown.
