Brookwood in Georgetown, or BiG, is expanding its campus to include two pilot homes to be used by adults with special needs. The homes will be located at 905 N. Church St., Georgetown, but BiG Chief Development Officer Tim Curtis said the organization plans to secure additional property in the future to allow for more homes to be built. The residential program will provide 24/7 care, a room and meals with the budget goal of $2,500 per resident per month. BiG is a vocational community that aims to provide meaningful work and a sense of belonging for adults with functional disabilities. The homes are anticipated to open in fall 2020 and will accommodate 16 residents. 512-688-5004. https://brookwoodingeorgetown.org
