The details
The anonymous survey was mailed to a sample of 3,500 residents in December, and takes about 15 minutes to complete, according to the city.
Residents can complete the survey by mail, phone or online. To complete the survey by phone, call 888-801-5368 for English or 844-811-0411 for Spanish.
The city encourages residents to complete the survey within two weeks of receipt, or as soon as possible, the news release states.
Those not included in the mailed survey sample can still complete the survey, and will be included in the survey report appendix.
Survey results help Georgetown officials when working on future city budgets, capital improvement projects, plans for individual departments and programs, the news release states.
How it works
The ETC Institute, a local government research firm, will conduct and analyze the survey for Georgetown. This is the first time the city has used ETC Institute, previously working with the Texas State University Center for Public Policy, Research and Training on the biannual survey.
In case you missed it
The 2023 survey found that 94% of Georgetown residents rated their overall quality of life as good or excellent, and 70% said city services provided good or excellent value for the taxes paid. Residents’ top priorities were growth management, traffic flow, lower utility costs and public transportation.
