Georgetown Fire Station No. 1 will undergo renovations to expand its apparatus bay and living quarters, city officials said.
Currently, the apparatus bay holds an ambulance, a fire engine, a fire truck, a rescue truck, a brush fire truck and a swift boat.
Plans for the renovation project have been submitted for review.
The station was erected in 2006 and serves the southern portion of the city.
