From road construction in Georgetown to a skatepark in Kyle, here are five of the most expensive projects filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation in the Austin metro this week.
1. Ronald Regan Boulevard Widening
This project includes the construction of new lanes and intersection improvements on Ronald Reagan Boulevard, including drainage structures, bridges, retaining walls, paving, lighting, signals and more.
- Location: From CR 245 to southwest of Hwy. 195 in Georgetown
- Estimated timeline: July 1, 2026-Jan. 27, 2029
- Estimated cost: $29.7 million
2. Expo Center Park and Ride
This project involves construction of a new park-and-ride. It will include bus bays and electric vehicle charging stations.
- Location: 7001 Decker Lane, Austin
- Estimated timeline: Sept. 1, 2024-May 31, 2026
- Estimated cost: $17.3 million
3. Round Rock ISD Hartfield PAC Renovation
Construction will begin next year on a total roof replacement, mechanical equipment replacement, public address system upgrade, and interior other work, including replacement of flooring and wall finishes in the lobby and green room.

- Estimated timeline: June 1, 2027-Sept. 15, 2027
- Estimated cost: $6 million
4. Gregg-Clarke Skatepark
The Kyle skatepark will include approximately 34,000 square feet of concrete skatepark and pump track.

- Estimated timeline: Jan. 1, 2026-July 1, 2026
- Estimated cost: $3.1 million
5. Creekview Vet Clinic
Construction will begin in June on a vet clinic in New Braunfels.

- Estimated timeline: June 1, 2026-April 30, 2027
- Estimated cost: $2 million
