Annunciation Maternity Home will expand its facility in Georgetown, adding five homes, a community center and an infant development center in the coming years.

AMH provides long-term housing for pregnant clients age 12 and older for up to two years after the birth of the baby. Additional services include transportation, access to medical care and education, counseling, job training and more.

Known as Rita’s Village, AMH will construct five homes, each with four bedrooms and four bathrooms, as well as a community center that includes laundry facilities, a workout space, a training room and staff offices.

The infant development center, where children can develop motor, cognitive, social and emotional skills, will also include a playground.

To celebrate the expansion, AMH will hold a groundbreaking and blessing ceremony at 10 a.m. on Aug. 19th. Attendees must RSVP by emailing [email protected].
