After finding success as a food truck at Cosmic Coffee & Beer Garden, LeRoy and Lewis Barbecue is set to open a brick-and-mortar location in South Austin at 5621 Emerald Forest Drive, Austin, by the end of the year.

Sawyer Lewis, co-owner of LeRoy and Lewis Barbecue, said the restaurant menu will be an expansion of what is offered at the food truck, which showcases the team's commitment to local and responsible sourcing, as well as butchery and whole animal utilization. The new space, she said, will allow the team to offer more specialty items as well as additional sides and desserts.

Current menu items offered at LeRoy and Lewis Barbecue include beef cheeks, brisket, barbacoa, pulled whole hog and more.

Lewis, along with Evan LeRoy, Lindsey LeRoy and Nathan Lewis, all share in owning the restaurant, which will also offer a bar and a private event space.

Next to the restaurant, an adjacent retail space will serve as a home for LeRoy and Lewis packaged goods such as sauces, rubs and merchandise, as well as a variety of grab-and-go items.
