A second Tiny Grocer location with expanded food and seating options will open in Hyde Park this summer. The store—owned by local Steph Steele—will carry many of the same items at the South Congress Avenue location and expand its kids, pets and wine selections.

The Hyde Park store will have indoor, bar and outdoor patio seating that Steele describes as a “private oasis.” The new location will continue serving its daily delicatessen menu with sandwiches, salads and baked goods and also offer 5-10 p.m. dinner service and weekend brunch serving French comfort food. An announcement on Tiny Grocer’s contracted chef for the restaurant is forthcoming.

The new store will be located at 4300 Speedway, Austin, in the former Hyde Park post office. First Light Books—a general-selection bookstore owned by locals Robin and Taylor Bruce—will also open in the building in July. The independent bookstore will include a cafe with coffee, beer, wine and light bites.
