Three locations of Andino Gelato—a gelato shop family-owned by Carlos and Carola Bejarano—are opening throughout Austin this spring.

Andino Gelato makes 32 flavors of gelato that are made daily in small batches, a quarter of which are fat free and dairy free. The new locations will also include a line of sugar-free gelatos. All of Andino Gelato's products, including its cookies and waffle cones, are made from scratch using recipes that were passed down for generations.

The first store opened Feb. 22 at 2901 S. Capital of Texas Hwy., Austin, in Barton Creek Square, and a location at 2214 S. First St., Austin, is slated to open in early April. Andino Gelato owners also plan on opening a food truck by mid-March.
