Officials with luxury bus company Vonlane announced it will offer 60 additional departures per week in Texas starting Sept. 1 in preparation for the company’s busiest travel season yet.

The details

Vonlane boosted its departure routes between Austin and Dallas, Dallas and Houston, Austin and Houston, Austin and Fort Worth, and Houston and San Antonio. All routes run daily.

Vonlane—which calls itself a “private jet on wheels”—is an alternative travel option instead of driving or flying within the state. Travelers arrive 15 minutes before departure and have access to free Wi-Fi, snacks, meals and beverages during the trip.

One-way trips average around $119, depending on the route.

Quote of note

“We’re seeing some of the highest demand we’ve ever seen for Vonlane’s signature coach service this fall as Texans gear up for business and leisure travel across the state,” Vonlane founder and CEO Alex Danza said in a news release. “This is a big milestone for us at Vonlane because it will exceed our prepandemic service offerings. We are thrilled to offer these new departures to accommodate travel plans so that our clients can leave at their convenience on the best luxury motor coach service in the nation.”
