3 new Central Austin businesses aim to help customers look their best for the holidays

1. A third Waxxpot, a full-service waxing salon, opened in Austin on Nov. 22. The salon, located in the Central Park Shopping Center at 4001 N. Lamar Blvd., is owned by locals Stephanie and Tom Sloss. Services include body waxing, facial and eyebrow waxing, lash lifts, and last tints. The other Austin locations are at 830 W. 3rd St., and 4211 S. Lamar Blvd. There are 13 Waxxpot salons throughout Ohio, Georgia, Colorado and Texas. 737-900-7980. www.waxxpot.com

2.0Image consulting business House of Colour opened Sept. 15 at 4413 Spicewood Springs Road, Ste. 225, Austin. Stylists will help clients discover what colors and styles best suit them. 3. Apotheca Salon and Barbershop is currently operating at 9025 Research Blvd., Austin. Owner and founder Steffan Bentley hopes to move to a permanent location in the Highland area at 110 Jacob Fontaine Lane, Austin, by the end of 2021. The salon has been delayed moving to this location due to the ongoing pandemic.
