Broadway's "Hamilton" is coming to Austin's Bass Concert Hall during the 2018-19 season. Texas Performing Arts Director and Associate Dean Kathy Panoff said the best way to guarantee tickets to the premiere of Hamilton is to purchase a subscription to the 2017-18 season, which starts at $135. Tickets go on sale Friday at 11 a.m. The 2017-18 season—presented by Texas Performing Arts—includes performances of "The King and I," "Finding Neverland," "School of Rock," "A Gentleman's Guide to Love & Murder" and "An American in Paris", with special subscriber performances of "Rent" and "The Book of Mormon." Specific dates for "Hamilton" have not yet been announced. "Hamilton," which recently won 11 Tony awards, tells the story of one of the country's founding fathers. The musical chronicles Alexander Hamilton's life from his time as an orphan to becoming George Washington's right-hand man. Performances are held at Bass Concert Hall, located at 2350 Robert Dedman Drive, Austin. More information can be found at BroadwayInAustin.com or by calling 800-731-7469.
