Texas-focused restaurant Haywire will open a new location at the CedarView development in Cedar Park, according to Jami Sharp, head of public relations and communications at FB Society, which owns Haywire.
The timeline
Construction will begin in eight to nine months, with an anticipated opening in late 2027, Sharp said. The Cedar Park location will be the sixth Haywire in Texas and the second in the Austin area.
What’s on the menu
The menu at Haywire is inspired by the various flavors of Texas, including Tex-Mex, barbecue, Gulf seafood and more. Dishes range from mini elk tacos and Gulf Coast ceviche to venison chili and chicken-fried steak.
Some context
The 117-acre CedarView development, which is currently under construction, will also be home to NFM, formerly known as Nebraska Furniture Mart, and sporting goods store Scheels. NFM is set to be the second-largest retail store in Texas, and local officials expect it to be a tourist attraction. Scheels is slated to open Aug. 29, and NFM is expected to open in 2027.
The development will also include a hotel, a convention center, as well as other stores and restaurants.
Quote of note
"Cedar Park is a fast-growing community of families and professionals, and a perfect spot for Haywire. Haywire in Cedar Park will be one of our most exciting builds. Over 10,000 square feet with a large outdoor space built for the way Texans gather for happy hours, weekend brunch or watching a game. The design will pull from Marfa and Luckenbach with an authentic Texas vibe,” FB Society CEO Jack Gibbons said in a statement. “The food follows that same thread. A 33-ounce Tomahawk that nods to Texas ranching culture, Gulf crab, a whiskey list anchored by Texas distillers with some rare finds layered in. We bring the best of Texas to the table.”
