Ice cream and coffee parlor Scoop and Score Ice Cream is set to celebrate its 10th anniversary in September.
The business, which opened after owners Alex and Angela Ellis moved from Ohio to Cedar Park, serves sweet treats including Graeter’s ice cream and Cuvée Coffee-based drinks.
Respecting the craft
The couple began the business while Angela was pregnant and craved Graeter’s ice cream, a classic style of ice cream in her home state of Ohio, according to previous Community Impact reporting.
After reaching out to Graeter’s, the couple opened up Scoop and Score in 2016, bringing the unique dessert to Cedar Park.
“Our ice cream is made using a patented French Pot freezer process, which creates an incredibly rich, smooth, and creamy texture,” the owners said in a statement to Community Impact. “That is different from anything else out there. We pair that with our own house-made cone recipe to offer something truly special and different from anything else on the market.”
What’s on the menu
While Scoop and Score offers classic favorites like mint chocolate chip and cookies and cream, the parlor also features unique flavors like black raspberry chocolate chip. Other items on the menu include ice cream floats, milkshakes, espresso shakes and affogatos with a shot of Cuvée espresso. Cuvée Coffee operates a brick-and-mortar location at 48 East Ave., Austin.
For customers with dietary restrictions, the parlor offers gluten-free and dairy-free options.
Additionally, Scoop and Score offers catering for events around the Austin area such as workplace celebrations, weddings and other gatherings.
The business hopes to become “a destination brand and a leader in its field,” the owners said.
