Leander City Council voted 6-1 to direct staff to begin the process of placing Capital Metro on the ballot. Christine Sederquist voted against the motion. The item was discussed in an executive session.

Around 3,100 people were experiencing homelessness in the Austin and Travis County area as of early 2021, according to the first daily homeless count tallied by the Ending Community Homelessness Coalition since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
