Jack Allen’s Kitchen is coming to Cedar Park.

The Austin-based restaurant’s fifth location will be located in the now-closed Logan’s Roadhouse building at 1345 E. Whitestone Blvd., Cedar Park. The restaurant is expected to open in late summer.

Austin FC and its fans will be able to watch the team’s first-ever match in history by the shores of Lady Bird Lake.

The newest Major League Soccer franchise announced March 22 it is hosting an official watch party at the Long Center for its April 17 debut game against Los Angeles FC.

Cranky Granny’s Sweet Rolls will open its first storefront May 29 in the North Austin shopping center at 10910 Domain Drive, Ste. 106, Austin. Owner Sianni Dean, a 22-year-old entrepreneur, last year moved the company from New Jersey to Austin in order to sell sweet rolls out of the kitchen at Midtown Live in East Austin.

The restaurant specializes in Detroit-style pies and serves pizza, salads, appetizers and desserts as well as houses a full bar, co-owner Brandon Hunt said.

Torchy’s Tacos will open new South Austin location this fall

Austin-based Torchy’s Tacos will open a new restaurant in the Southpark Meadows area this fall.

According to Edible Inc., which is handling public relations for the taco chain, the company has leased a space at 8601 S. Congress Ave., Austin, adjacent to The Oaks at Slaughter H-E-B near the intersection of Slaughter Lane.
