The Cedar Park Public Library Foundation has canceled Fable Fest 2020, according to a June 12 news release from the Cedar Park Public Library Foundation.
Fable Fest—a community event since 2009—had been scheduled for Oct. 31 in Milburn Park.
“Due to the ongoing uncertainty surrounding large gatherings due to the COVID-19 pandemic and after many conversations internally, our organization came to the difficult but unanimous decision to cancel the festival,” the release said.
Similar to a Renaissance fair, Fable Fest is a family friendly event each year that features jousting, a costume contest, games, Mother Goose story times and more. Proceeds benefit programs at the Cedar Park Public Library.
