22nd Annual Barktoberfest

Central Texas SPCA will host their annual fundraising event to help homeless dogs and cats at the private, no-kill adoption center. There will be a 5K fun run, 1-mile walk, a canine costume contest and a silent auction. Dogs on leashes are welcome for the run and the walk. Vendors and sponsors will be tabling to promote their products and resources. Participating vendors include Dog Heart Grooming, Mutt’s Cantina Austin, Natural Curve Creations, CycleBar, Ethan’s Pup Treats and more.

Skyhoundz Discdogathon

Flying Disc Dogs of Texas will host a discdogathon featuring five different games—bullseye, landing, time trial, freestyle and pairs. Spectators for the event are welcome but those who bring pets are asked to stay away from the field when watching.

Spirits of Bagdad


The 50-minute historic tour will inform attendees of five historical individuals who once lived in Leander. The tour will be humorous and entertaining and will not use any scare tactics, according to its website. All participants over the age of two need a ticket. The event is presented by the Leander Chamber of Commerce and Leander Historical Preservation Commission. All ticket sales will go toward funding future tours as part of the nonprofit’s mission to preserve Leander history.

PAW Patrol Live: “A Mighty Adventure”

The live stage show serves as a prequel to “PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie.” The show features Chase, Marshall, Skye and the rest of the pack as they try to save Adventure City’s largest party from being destroyed by supervillain scientist Victoria Vance. All children over the age of one must have a ticket. Attendees with the VIP package will have a premium seat and exclusive access to a photo opportunity with PAW Patrol characters after the show.

Hive to Table: Honey Tasting

The 75 Oaks Farm will host honey tasting events for individuals ages 18 and up. The sensory class will teach participants about bee castes and the process of honey production from hive to jar. Attendees can expect to taste five types of honey paired with farm-fresh accompaniments such as local sourdough bread, dark chocolate, strawberries, three cheeses and pecans. Tickets to the event include all class supplies.

Cedar Park Fall Roundup

Cedar Park Parks and Recreation will host the Western-themed event which will feature armadillo races, hayrides, a petting zoo, roping stations and live country music by The Western Express. Food trucks and a beer and wine vendor will be available. Attendees are welcome to bring lawn chairs and blankets.Hope For Kids Benefit Dinner


The event hosted by Hope House will have music, stories and a live music performance from local artist Adam Stone. Tickets to the event include admission and a barbecue plate. The nonprofit has provided permanent care to disabled children since 1967.November

Texas Humane Heroes 15th Annual Chili Cookoff

The nonprofit and no-kill shelter will host a day full of chili tasting, friendly competition, live music, kids activities, drinks and a silent auction. There will also be a raffle for a wood-burning pizza oven and raffle tickets will be $5 each. Cookoff participants will be judged in two categories: judge’s choice and people’s choice. The winning team of each category will receive $300 and second and third place teams will receive $200. Dogs on leashes are welcome. All proceeds from the event will go toward the nonprofit's mission of saving dogs and cats from overcrowded shelters across the state.

Liberty Hill Beer Festival

San Gabriel River Brewery will host the annual festival featuring local breweries, wineries, craft vendors, food trucks and music. Tickets are not required to attend but a general admission ticket will guarantee a parking spot for the event. VIP ticket holders will get a 5-ounce tasting glass, 10 tasting tickets to be used at any brewery, access to the VIP room and indoor bathrooms, and five drink tokens to be used at San Gabriel River Brewery.

Save Our Soldiers


The third annual disc golf event is hosted by nonprofit Bogey Free Club. With the goal to raise awareness for adaptive sports such as disc golf for PTSD relief and suicide prevention for soldiers and veterans. The day is scheduled to include an 18-hole unsanctioned disc golf tournament. Active duty soldiers and veterans get free registration and must email the nonprofit to receive their discount code before registering. There will be custom trophies provided to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Registration for the event is required.
