Why are you running for office?
I spent the last 20 years serving the American people as a Soldier in the U.S. Army. I want to serve the area I come from directly. I’m fighting for working families, protecting our rights, and making sure everyone has a voice in the decisions that impact their lives.
What would your top priorities be if elected?
Stand up for working families by fighting for fair pay, safe workplaces, and real opportunity for every Texan. Prioritize everyday affordability by lowering healthcare costs, expanding affordable housing, and push back against inflation. Support strong public schools by strengthening public schools, investing in teachers, and expanding job training.
What are the biggest challenges facing this district?
I volunteer at the Fredericksburg Food Pantry, where I regularly observe families seeking assistance for their needs. Affordability has emerged as a concern for many residents in HD 19. Private school vouchers have also raised notable challenges, especially given that the majority of students in the district attend public schools.
How do you plan to address these issues?
Texas workers are some of the most underpaid in the country. The statewide minimum wage will rise to $25 over three years, starting with $15, then $20, and reaching $25. We will end all voucher programs immediately and prohibit the use of public money for private tuition and unaccredited institutions.
