Caitlin Rourk

Occupation & Experience: Experience across private sector, public policy, and federal/military service as U.S. Army officer

Why are you running for office?

I’m running to cut through the noise and get Congress back to its job: legislating for the American people. I'll listen, roll up my sleeves, and get results by solving problems, passing legislation, and creating real opportunities for families and businesses across our district.

What would your top priorities be if elected?

Healthcare that’s affordable and accessible. An economy where everyone has the opportunity to get ahead, not just get by. Strong public schools. And a government that delivers results, invests in our district, and leads with accountability and transparency.

How do you plan to involve residents in the decision-making process?

CD10 neighbors will shape the work I do in office. I’ll hold town halls, office hours, and advisory councils, provide clear communication, and share plain-language updates on votes and budgets, making government accessible and responsive to everyone in our district.

What long-term investments do you believe should be a focus for Texas in the coming years, and why?

Congress must protect Texans from state and federal threats and defend critical programs and protections, from schools and healthcare, to civil liberties and reproductive health, to support for our military and veterans. In Congress, I’ll work to pass laws and secure federal resources that keep Texas communities safe, strong, and competitive.

Why are you running for office?

I’m running because Congress serves insiders—lawyers, lobbyists, career politicians, speculators—not working families. They pile burdens they never carry, leaving households paycheck to paycheck, borrowing at high interest for necessities. I’m a working family man. Washington needs producers in the People’s House—workmen who protect dignity, stability, and opportunity for all Americans.

What would your top priorities be if elected?

Lower inflation by financing supply—housing, energy, logistics, food—through public credit at Treasury rates, attacking scarcity instead of crushing demand. Raise wages with an $11.25 minimum plus voluntary living-wage incentives. Cut health costs by expanding clinician-led outpatient care with public credit, enforcing transparency, and curbing monopoly pricing in drugs & hospitals.

Occupation & Experience: Turn around specialist in the retail sector for 20 years.

Contact Information: 936-200-7797

Why are you running for office?

I’m running because it was clear that none of the republicans in Congress planned to codify anything Trump ran on within a couple weeks of the election. Seems prescient as a year later, the legislature can’t even bother passing a budget.

What would your top priorities be if elected?

Return spending to 2018 level. There is no pandemic and two wars have ended. This would give us $600 billion free to pay down the debt for the first time since 1957.

How do you plan to involve residents in the decision-making process?

I plan on spreading the district offices out, including Giddings and Crocket, not just Austin and Bryan. Also, any of my constituents will be free to call me. I’m there to represent them, not special interests and lobbies.

What long-term investments do you believe should be a focus for Texas in the coming years, and why?

I don’t think the federal government should be involved in state specific projects because it leads to equal projects in all the other states. This result in only getting about 2% of project done in Texas versus what we pay for. I’m more interested in getting government out of the way of projects. Fast track timeliness for power plants refineries and desalination approval. Lower barriers so our farmers can replenish their breeding heifers. Basically getting government out of the way of free enterprise. The federal government has done nothing well in the last 100 years, time to get them out of everything.

Brandon Hawbaker

Why are you running for office?

First and foremost, I believe Jesus Christ wants me to. I believe I've been prepared for much of my life to do this without realizing it. I believe there are many things that need to be done to protect Texas and save our country that require different kinds of skills, ideas, and talents that I have such as my technical abilities, my troubleshooting abilities, my devotion to Jesus Christ, and commitment to doing the hard work of cleaning up the 34,000 pages of the U.S.C.

What would your top priorities be if elected?

1. Enhance representation of the district.
2. Stop the bleeding - Identify waste, fraud, abuse, and foreign aid that can be eliminated. Also appropriations improvements can be quick wins [and] easy to pass.
3. Craft legislation for the top issues raised by the district.

How do you plan to involve residents in the decision-making process?

1. Survey the district. My absolute first priority will be to continually survey the district, making online polls available to the district, so that I can objectively assess what the people in our district care about the most.
2. Find/Create online tools, resources, and dashboards to facilitate closer interaction and engagement and allow those in the district to monitor the progress and contribute to each of the issues raised.
3. Form local committees and groups dedicated to solving the issues raised in the surveys mentioned previously. These groups will work with each other and myself to draft solutions and legislation to solve the issues raised.

What long-term projects do you believe should be a focus for Texas in the coming years, and why?

1. Election integrity & free speech - Without these, nothing can be fixed
2. Sound money - We need to legalize alternatives to the Federal Reserve notes
3. Push legislative power back to Texas - By shrinking laws at the federal level, Texas will be empowered more and more to control its own destiny.
4. Replace many national laws with national standards - Standards allow all states to contribute to measures designed to make it easy to conduct business throughout the whole country and allow individual states the flexibility to change, adopt, or reject the national standards the states create, resulting in more voluntary integration, and less federal tyranny.

Jessica Karlsruher

Occupation & Experience: CEO 25 years advocating for: Economic Development Energy Infrastructure Financial Services Property Rights Water Issues

Why are you running for office?

I have spent my career advocating in different industries, specifically real estate, rural Texas, water issues, energy infrastructure, economic development, financial services and conservation. I know how to maintain a strong economy and provide jobs without sacrificing our land and resources.

What would your top priorities be if elected?

If elected, my top priorities will be making life affordable again, advancing the Make America Healthy Again movement by supporting farmers and safer food, and protecting our children and their future. As one tough mother, I’ll defend parental rights, common sense, and the opportunities our kids deserve.

How do you plan to involve residents in the decision-making process?

As a Member of Congress, my job is to listen to the constituents, find common themes amongst the counties, and identify solutions through funding mechanisms and sound policy. More importantly, my job is to keep DC out of Texas and empower local control.

What long-term investments do you believe should be a focus for Texas in the coming years, and why?

Congress should focus on making life affordable, supporting American energy and agriculture, advancing Make America Healthy Again policies, and protecting our children’s future. Washington must cut waste, reduce overreach, and empower families and businesses — not stand in their way.

Jenny Garcia

Occupation & Experience: Business Owner, Republican Party Congressional Nominee (2020, 2022, 2024)

Why are you running for office?

I have seen who is out there fighting for us and it is time for a change. I am just like every other American frustrated with career politicians who have lost touch with their constituents. I share the same concerns as those in Congressional District 10.

What would your top priorities be if elected?

My focus will be eliminating opportunities for fraud in federal programs, establishing term limits for members of congress, ensuring that our elections are secure, and promoting an America First position on all matters relating to national security and foreign trade.

How do you plan to involve residents in the decision-making process?

I plan to establish streamlined communication channels for the constituents of CD 10, including in-person town hall meetings as well regular updates through electronic communication to provide ample avenues for feedback. The greatest goal I have is to ensure constituents feel heard and that their opinions are valued.

With district boundaries and representation changing, how will you ensure your constituents have the resources they need?

I will collaborate with local officials and other community organizations to establish outreach initiatives. I have always believed the adage that “Knowledge is power.” This belief is why I co-founded a local Republican Club to help ensure those within our community had access to various resources.
