Round Rock ISD named Richard Andreucci as the new head safety and security within the district Feb. 23.

In addition to leading the district's safety and security program, which includes providing guidance and training to staff as well as compliance with emergency operations, Andreucci will oversee state-required audits of its facilities and practices, and any necessary safety-related maintenance or repairs.

Andreucci has 19 years of experience in policing and security services, according to the district's announcement, and has provided service to municipalities, higher education institutions and private companies.

In their own words


As a Round Rock High School graduate, he said he is excited to be serving his hometown.

"Being trusted to help keep the next generation safe and ensure the district is prepared to tackle any emergency that comes its way is an honor, and I’m grateful I was selected to serve here," he said.

He earned a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences in criminal justice from Midwestern State University. Andreucci has participated in the Law Enforcement Management Institute of Texas Leadership Command College and completed the FBI National Command Course.
