Austinites might be familiar with restaurants like Souper Salad and Sweet Tomatoes or Souplantation, which is "similar to the concept" being pursued, owner Nelson Lim said in an email to Community Impact.
The menu is slated to include classics like clam chowder and chicken noodle, Lim said, but will expand to add items such as miso mozzarella pizza and yam bisque.
The restaurant is currently called Soup and Leaves, which Lim said may change to avoid confusion with Soupleaf Hot Pot.
