Buca di Beppo filed for bankruptcy with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas on Aug. 5. In the bankruptcy documents, the franchise stated they have been seeing a decrease in profits since the beginning of 2021.

The national Italian franchise closed 18 locations in 2024, including 12 in July. Two of these locations are in the Austin area, with one in North Austin on Tudor Boulevard and the other in Cedar Park on Lakeline Mall Drive.
