Urban Youth Park launched its first Texas location last month, bringing parkour, classes, birthday parties, camps and more to Cedar Park. The business began offering classes in mid-December as part of a pre-opening phase, gym director Parker Durant said.

Urban Youth Park founder and co-owner Jessica Funke Ho started the business after her son discovered parkour, according to the website. She built the first location upon learning there were no gyms in the area to fit her son's interest. Today, she oversees five locations in Texas, Florida and California.
Her dad, co-owner Steve Funke, helped her start the gym and build the equipment at Urban Youth Park, Durant said. The father-daughter duo is also in partnership with Nik Crisp.
