The shop opened May 16, and it is locally owned by Ziad Bader and Kareem Soufan, both of whom are Palestinian. The business' name is a play on "keffiyeh," a traditional scarf worn by men in Palestine. While the decor at the business mainly pulls from middle eastern culture, patrons can expect to find touches of Mexican heritage in the facility as well.
The business has espresso-based drinks, including regular coffee shop offerings like lattes, and Coffeyeh’s signature syrup has traditional Palestinian ingredients in it. Additionally, the shop's bean blend includes beans from farms in Ethiopia, Guatemala, Brazil and Indonesia.
The shop also has a large array of desserts.
