According to a news release, the relocation will better serve the restaurant's guests with more convenient features, such as a drive-thru, and have less overlap with other locations.
“During COVID, we saw our guests really change their behaviors with our brand; we’re reflecting exactly what they want through easier pick-up, larger communal tables for gathering, more drive-thru opportunities, and expanded catering capabilities," company President Craig Haley said in the release.
Smokey Mo's menu features smoked meats such as brisket, pork ribs, chicken and sausage, which can be purchased by the pound or in sandwiches or wraps. Additionally, the restaurant serves sides, such as potato salad, macaroni and cheese, and green beans; desserts, such as banana pudding and pecan pie; and breakfast plates.
The restaurant also offers group orders and catering services.
Smokey Mo's has eight other locations in northern Austin suburbs, including two in Cedar Park, another in Round Rock, and in the Jollyville area, Leander, Liberty Hill, Georgetown and Hutto.
