After a 10-month search, locally owned financial institution First National Bank of Bastrop will welcome Stephen Lee in May as the ninth president and CEO since opening in 1889.

The details

Lee brings more than 30 years of experience in the banking industry, with his latest role as acting president and CEO of First Financial Bank in Southeast Texas, according to a news release.

The current president and CEO, Reid Sharp, led the search for his successor and will remain chair of the board.

"Reid Sharp has built an incredible team and established a legacy of excellence at FNB. I am committed to upholding that standard while fostering an environment of innovation and expansion to ensure we are well-positioned to serve our customers and expand our footprint across Central Texas.”

What they're saying

“From the onset, we knew we needed someone experienced in leading a community bank, someone experienced in growing a community bank, and most of all, someone that understands community banking on a scalable level,” Sharp said. “We have found that person and more in Stephen.”
