Bastrop and Travis County residents can influence the region’s transportation future by giving feedback on the FM 969 Corridor Study.

In a nutshell

Hosted by the Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization, or CAMPO, the outreach initiative includes an in-person and virtual open house. Additionally, an online survey opened May 15 to gather public feedback to identify and evaluate potential improvements to FM 969, from SH 130 to SH 71, in Travis and Bastrop counties.

Get involved

The in-person open house will be held on May 15 in Elgin at Spiderwood Studios, 140 Utley Road, from 4-7 p.m.

Those unable to attend can participate in the virtual open house, which is available online 24/7 from May 15-June 16.

The details

According to officials, the study will help CAMPO and the Texas Department of Transportation understand where improvements to FM 969 are needed.

CAMPO officials said once public input is received, they will use that information, along with an analysis of previous studies, current and projected traffic volumes, crash hotspots and environmental features to determine the next step.
