Organizers highlighted that the free event—which will run from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Bastrop Convention Center—was organized with three key objectives in mind, including:
- Familiarize the community with local health-related agencies
- Promote preventive health care, encourage exercise and suggest good nutrition
- Educate the public on healthy living and share basic life-saving information
“Whether you’re looking to learn more about local services or simply want to take a proactive step toward better health, this is the place to be,” the Smithville Community Clinic said in a social media post.

In 2024, the Bastrop County Health Fair had approximately 600 attendees who donated $3,800 in blood, received $3,600 in free mammograms, and earned $560 in CPR certifications, according to the Bastrop Chamber of Commerce.
“We expect the number of attendees to be even bigger this year,” Becki Womble, president and CEO of the Bastrop Chamber of Commerce, told Community Impact. “We want to have a healthier community, and we want to make people aware of what’s available right here in our backyard.”

There will be several activities for children in the Kids Zone, including:
- Bastrop ISD digital child identification kits, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
- Bastrop Skate Palace, demonstration, 10:30 a.m.-11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.-2 p.m.
- Face painting, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
- Texas Aces, 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
- Mascot Parade, 1 p.m.-1:30 p.m.
“We’re not bound by any city limits,” she said. “We want to reach everybody we can. I know a lot of people in Smithville and maybe even Elgin will drive here, because we have specialists that come here regularly that may not come to their communities. For me, I’d always rather drive to Bastrop than drive over to Austin.”
