An award-winning Bastrop spa unveiled a new look in late May ahead of its 16-year anniversary on July 15, when guests can enjoy specials and giveaways.

The overview

Cherry Blossoms Day Spa owner Shasta Lusk, who purchased the business from Cindy Cordova in 2022, said the latest remodel was to create an "even more luxurious experience" for guests.

The new look includes a redesigned lobby, updated flooring and a custom concierge desk by Berdoll Sawmill.

"I also installed a beautiful custom Himalayan salt wall in our hallway, built by The Blue Glow Agave Design," Lusk said. "I love supporting other local businesses and choose mostly organic and Texas-made products."

What they offer

Lusk and her team offer personalized self-care and wellness services with a focus on the guests' experiences.

"What sets us apart is our focus on customized, tailored experiences to help each guest with their unique needs," Lusk said, noting the team is seeing more men and younger clients than ever before.

Services include:
  • Solo and couples massages
  • Facials
  • Waxing
  • Brow and lash lamination and tinting
  • Crystal Biomat, which uses infrared heat and healing crystals to promote circulation
  • Celluma, which uses LED light therapy to target acne, wrinkles and muscle tension
"In addition to our services, we offer the largest selection of organic skin care, body care, and apothecary products in Bastrop County," Lusk said, adding that locally made jewelry and other gifts are also available.

Zooming in

Lusk said packages include wine or hot tea and chocolate, and she is always brainstorming ways to make each guest feel special.

"I try to think of every detail of our client’s experience," she said. "We even have a coat check in the winter, so clients don’t have to carry their coats around."

What else?

Lusk said she is grateful for the support of her team and the community, and gives back by way of the Bastrop County Animal Shelter, including volunteering and paying for adoption fees.

"We’re making self-care in Bastrop better than ever," she said. "We are so thankful."
