Why are you running?
I have spent the past 17 years employed by Bastrop County, serving six of those in the District Clerk's Office. I truly enjoy assisting people and would love the opportunity to serve the community as District Clerk. I would serve as a hands-on and engaged clerk.
What is the most important issue facing residents, and how would you address it?
The most important issues facing residents of the county are taxes, crime and traffic. The District Clerk's Office would not have any input on these issues unless a legal filing was entered.
If elected, how do you plan to address future growth?
Growth in the community of Bastrop is ongoing at a steady rate. Case filings in the county will be at a comparable rate to growth. Staffing will need to increase to accommodate such growth. Having a sufficient and effective staff is imperative.
If elected, what would be your top three priorities?
The top three priorities for the District Clerk’s Office would be preservation of all court records, exceptional service to the community’s residents and maintaining a more consistent cooperation between various judicial departments in the county. Criminal filings go through multiple departments before a case is final.

Why are you running?
I am running because professional leadership is badly needed in the Bastrop County District Clerk's Office.
What is the most important issue facing residents, and how would you address it?
The most important issue facing residents is that: The office has not been responsive to the needs of the customers and stakeholders of the office.
If elected, how do you plan to address future growth?
If elected I would address future growth by coaching training and forming a unified more professional staff and seek adequate staffing levels as well as seeking funding for improved wages for staff.
If elected, what would be your top three priorities?
If elected my three top priorities would be: 1. Keep what works. 2. Fix those things that don’t work. 3. Lead my team by setting the example in the professional performance of all duties.
