Bastrop city officials promise a "fab-boo-lous time" for superheroes, ghosts and wizards of all ages when the Bastrop Boo Bash returns downtown Oct. 31 from 6-8 p.m.

In a nutshell

The free event will offer trick- and trunk-or-treating, balloon art, games, treats and more—with themed photo opportunities scattered throughout the festival.

"It is one of our favorite times to see the whole community come out, dress up, and celebrate together," said Kathy Danielson, Bastrop Convention & Exhibition Center community engagement director.

What else?

Local businesses and organizations are encouraged to sign up to pass out candy and provide games; however, hosts must supply their own tables, tents and decorations.

Something to note

Attendees can expect road closures before and after the event to safely accommodate festivalgoers. Roadblocks are expected to be similar to the 2023 celebration.
