The Bastrop Cultural Arts Commission will unveil its newest bird sculpture by artist Robin Luck. In honor of Bastrop's Texas-Certified Bird Community—which indicates Bastrop meets a set of standards that actively support bird conservation and habitat awareness—the commission is filling Chestnut Street leading to downtown Bastrop with a public-art initiative focused on large sculptures of local birds made by area artists.

Guests can partake in snacks, shopping and more to support Lone Star Circle of Care’s mission of providing free and low-cost mobile mammograms throughout Central Texas, including Bastrop.

Bastrop Opera House will offer the story of Tevye, a Jewish father in pre-revolutionary Russia, as he teaches his five daughters to balance tradition and family in a changing world.

The Bastrop County-themed night at Cotton Bowl Speedway will offer competitive dirt-track racing. Fans are encouraged to dress in western attire, such as cowboy hats, boots, belt buckles and more.
