Local witches, wizards and muggles will unite to explore the world of Harry Potter later this year when "Harry Potter: A Forbidden Forest Experience" opens in Bastrop County.

The family-friendly exhibit will take place in 60- to 90-minute increments in the evenings at McKinney Roughs Nature Park, where the forest will be illuminated with scenes from the popular franchise.

As this takes place along a walking trail in the park, attendees are encouraged to dress in comfortable footwear and clothing.

Officials said those needing walking assistance can rent motorized scooters for free or bring their own.
