Bastrop residents will soon have a new option for bubble tea and other specialty tea drinks as Kung Fu Tea plans to open its first shop in the area.
Construction on the 1,500-square-foot space is expected to run April 20-June 26.
On the menu
The franchise is known for freshly brewed, customizable milk teas, including a signature drink made with Earl Grey tea, cane sugar and milk powder. Other options include fruit teas, lemonades, slushes and more.
Kung Fu Tea offers its signature Wow Bubbles—a brown sugar-cooked version of regular boba, which is marinated in honey. The menu also includes some vegan, dairy-free and nut-free options, while the Milk Strike line pairs Wow Bubbles with lactose-free milk.

Kung Fu Tea is one of several new businesses headed to or recently opened in Bastrop at the Burleson Crossing East shopping center, spanning 20 acres at the northeast corner of Hwy. 71 and Edward Burleson Drive.
