Dockside BTX, a new seafood restaurant in Bastrop, was expected to open in late 2024 but has delayed its opening to late 2025, citing permitting issues.

In August, Dockside announced a second location coming to Bastrop, Community Impact reported. However, due to permitting issues and “compliance with local codes,” the opening was delayed, a Facebook post from the company states.

Owner Josh Nguyen said he hopes the restaurant will be ready to open in the coming months.

This is the second location for the company, which is from near the Texas coast, and it will serve fried and boiled fish, crab, crawfish and sides, among other menu items.
