Bastrop's Mr. Brew Coffee is now closed; however, owner Jaime Astorga said he plans to open a new Bastrop spot in the future with more options and a drive-thru.

His Austin location at 8606 Research Boulevard remains open.

What happened

Astorga opened his coffee shop at the former Carafe location inside Community Gardens in the summer of 2024. His opening coincided with the grand opening of his mother Sylvia Barragan’s new restaurant, Chapala Fiestas, located next door in the former Heroes restaurant space.
