The Colony, a master-planned community in Bastrop, will add a food truck park at the intersection of Sam Houston Drive and Plumbago Loop to its list of amenities.

The details

The project, estimated to cost $200,000, will include the buildout of a pavilion and the addition of picnic tables, according to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

Savannah Carter, a spokesperson for Hunt Communities, told Community Impact that there is not a scheduled start date for construction of the food truck park at this time.

The Colony Food Truck Park will be adjacent to Lakehouse Park and The Lakehouse Amenity Center—a recreational space that features an amphitheater for concerts and other community events that are open to the public.

“That tends to bring a lot of people out,” Rick Neff, senior vice president of Hunt Communities, said in a previous statement to Community Impact.

He emphasized that officials at The Colony want to bring dining options to those events.
