Project information from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation states a construction of a shell building at 414 Technology Drive in Bastrop will continue through April 2026.
This is the site of a future food manufacturing facility for Coltzin LLC, which has an economic development agreement with the city of Bastrop to build a minimum of 20,000 square feet and make a minimum capital investment of $1.6 million, as well as provide at least 30 local jobs, according to city records.
About the project
Prior to approval, the project was referenced in city documents as "Project Fiesta."
TDLR project information states the estimated construction cost for the facility is $4.8 million. Per a 2023 report from Demographics firm Zonda Education, the first phase of the project could bring about 35 jobs to the area.
The development agreement states that Coltzin will receive a $233,934.62 reimbursement for the land purchase once requirements are met.
