From a Department of Veterans Affairs outpatient facility to a new McDonald’s and more, here are five of the most expensive projects filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation in the Austin metro this week.
1. Department of Veterans Affairs outpatient facility
The Department of Veterans Affairs will construct an outpatient facility with a dedicated parking lot for visitors and staff, as well as a service access area.
- Location: 4425 University Blvd., Round Rock
- Estimated timeline: March 9-Sept. 10, 2027
- Estimated cost: $42 million
2. Office Warehouses
Two office warehouse buildings, totaling 68,924 square feet, will be built by Workhub Developments to accommodate start-up and flex space for businesses.
- Location: 0 Wilke Lane, Pflugerville
- Estimated timeline: May 31-Jan. 31, 2027
- Estimated cost: $8.3 million
3. Crash Champions
The Illinois-based collision repair provider will build a 15,131-square-foot garage and office space constructed from a pre-engineered metal building.
- Location: 18000 S. I-35, Buda
- Estimated timeline: March 23-Sept. 23
- Estimated cost: $4.5 million
4. McDonald’s
Another McDonald’s will bring its popular menu items, such as the Big Mac and Quarter Pounder, to a location along US 183 near the Twin Lakes Family YMCA.
- Location: 1145 S. Bell Blvd., Cedar Park
- Estimated timeline: July 1-Dec. 31
- Estimated cost: $1.5 million
5. Quick Trip
A 6,445-square-foot QuikTrip will soon fuel up South Austin, bringing a full-service pumping station alongside a made-to-order kitchen with grab-and-go options.
