Kudos, a convenience store brand the Greater Houston Retailers Cooperative Association launched in 2024, will open a location in Bastrop as part of a master-planned community called Adelton.

The details

Construction of the 5,774-square-foot location is scheduled to begin in March. It will feature a kitchen with a variety of menu items, such as tacos, burgers and cheesesteaks, said Taylor Medlin, a spokesperson for Adelton developers Benchmark Austin.

There are three Kudos locations in Texas, including:
  • 601 TX-75, Huntsville
  • 5125 John Sharp Drive, Richmond
  • 31710 FM 1485, New Caney
“We are determined to make people feel good when they walk into our stores and to improve the communities we serve,” GHRCA CEO Brian Trout said in a news release.


The outlook

GHRCA representatives previously highlighted aspirations to expand the Kudos brand to 250 locations through new construction and remodeled convenience stores by 2028.
