Austin’s Café Monet Art and Clay Studio expanded in December with a soft opening in Bastrop. Owner Jules Winson said the community is invited to attend its grand opening celebration on Jan. 25.

What’s happening

The party will happen from noon-9 p.m. at Hyperloop Plaza and offer attendees a chance to learn what the studio has to offer.

Other activities will include pottery painting, which will range from $5-$35—depending on the size of the piece—and a free 10-minute wheel-throwing class.

What they offer

Winson said she brought her create-your-own studio to Bastrop to coincide with the area’s growing arts scene.

“Clay and ceramics offer a uniquely therapeutic and rewarding art experience, and we’re thrilled to share this with Bastrop,” Winson said.

Located within Hyperloop Plaza, Café Monet provides a family-friendly environment for artists of all ages and skill levels.

Reservations can be booked online; however, walk-ins are also accepted. Parties can also be booked for adults, children and scouts.
