An Allen location of The Melting Pot is now open and offering an interactive dining experience.
Restaurant officials, city leaders and community members celebrated the opening during an Aug. 19 ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The specifics
The eatery, which is located in Watters Creek Village, offers a signature four-course dining experience featuring both cheese and chocolate fondue courses.
The menu includes six types of cheese fondue served with bread, fruit and vegetables, as well as salads. Entree fondue options including Coq au Vin and Court Bouillon, which pair with proteins such as shrimp, steak and chicken. Dessert options include six types of chocolate fondue served with sweet treats and fresh fruits, the restaurant’s website states.
The Allen location features a full-service bar, a “Lovers Lane” with semi-private booths for two people, and a private event room, a news release states. The restaurant is led by local franchisees Tracie and Dan Greene.
"Our goal is to create a warm, inviting space where the community can slow down, reconnect, and celebrate special moments over great food,” Tracie Greene said in the release.

The context
The Florida-based company, which was founded in 1975, offers a variety of fondue cooking styles. The company has nearly 90 locations across 30 states, and the Allen restaurant is the third Melting Pot in North Texas, a company news release states.
