Liberty Hill ISD board of trustees approved the naming of Elementary School No. 7 and High School No. 2 on June 19.

The board naming committee consisting of Trustees Kathy Major, Michael Ferguson and Anthony Buck took the lead in selecting the names of the upcoming campuses. LHISD also sent out surveys to the community for feedback, which was taken into consideration by the committee.

Two-minute impact
  • Elementary School No. 7 was named Tierra Rosa Elementary. Tierra Rosa will be located in the Santa Rita Ranch subdivision and is anticipated to open in August 2024.
  • High School No. 2 was named Legacy Ranch High School. The district has secured lots for both Legacy Ranch and Middle School No. 3 on CR 258.
  • The naming for Middle School No. 3 was tabled for a later date due to “some things still needing to be determined,” Major said at the June 19 board meeting.
“I just want to say thank you to the work and the efforts by our naming committee and our community for submitting their results to the survey questions,” Board President Megan Parsons said.
