Creamistry ice cream shop freezes their dessert product on site using liquid nitrogen, Operations Manager Joe Han said.[/caption]
Lake Travis residents will be able to cool off next summer with made-to-order ice cream frozen on site with liquid nitrogen.
Creamistry has signed a lease for the Oaks at Lakeway, 1900 S. RR 620, Lakeway, Creamistry Operations Manager Joe Han said.
The ice cream shop offers its customers made-to-order frozen treats. Patrons choose a dessert base, flavor and toppings, and the ice cream is then frozen on the spot with liquid nitrogen, he said.
"There is no frost bite, and nothing is kept frozen [in the store]," Han said.
The Yorba Linda, California-based company is aiming for a mid-2016 opening, he said.
