Capital One Plano will break ground for the company's seventh office building at its corporate campus on Thursday, Oct. 8. The ceremony will be held at the east corner of Dominion Parkway and Headquarters Drive.

Sanjiv Yajnik, Capital One Financial Services president, said the company's financial services division headquarters has been very successful in Plano.

“We have about 500 open positions now and we continue to expand,” he said. “By the time the building is constructed it will already be spoken for.”

With an area of 205,000 square feet, the building will be able to accommodate about 1000 to 1,200 employees. Capital One’s Plano campus is currently home to about 5,900 employees.

The four-story building will have six training rooms, a full-service cafeteria and game room in addition to the office space. Construction is expected to be complete in early 2017.
