Nitrogen-blasted ice cream is the most popular treat at Cocohodo–Sweet Vivian’s, but the newly-opened cafe also has an extensive menu of coffee drinks, plum iced tea, virgin mojitos, shaved ice and a variety of crepes to go along with the drinks, manager Veronica Cho said.

The iced sea salt latte has been a top seller among the beverages since the store opened in early June, she said.

“The sea salt latte is a popular Korean drink that has gotten pretty popular here,” Cho said.

To make the slightly salty coffee drink, the cafe’s espresso-based coffee is topped with a thick whipped layer of salty foamed milk that seeps down into the coffee to create a latte. The drink is available hot or iced.

Cho recommends pairing the drink with the cafe’s signature bite-sized walnut pastries.

“[The shop is] kind of known for these pastries, although [during the summer] our biggest seller has been the ice cream,” Cho said.
