Nancy's Sky Garden is expected to open in early February in the former Koi Asian Bistro location in Tamiro Plaza, located at 501 S. Austin Ave.

The restaurant, owned by Nancy and Won Lee, who opened Koriente in Central Austin about seven years ago, will feature a similar menu to its Austin counterpart with healthy and fresh Korean food.

"I thought it would be great to give people in Georgetown a healthy option," Nancy Lee said, adding the restaurant's menu was inspired by her time growing up as a farmer's daughter. "The food is not typical Korean food. It's simple, not fancy, and fresh."

Her love of gardening and fresh vegetables will be a prominent part of the restaurant, she said.

"At first when I thought there were no trees and no flowers, I was disappointed, so I thought I would cover [the restaurant with plants]," Lee said.

Lee and her husband are planning to create a garden environment on the restaurant's patio area and offer outdoor seating.
