Construction to begin March 31 on North Sycamore Street in Tomball

The city of Tomball will begin construction on North Sycamore Street beginning March 31 through July, Assistant City Manager Jessica Rogers confirmed.

North Sycamore Street will be converted to a one-way street and reconstructed to allow for added pavement width and the addition of designated parking on the west side of the roadway, Rogers said.

The project will cost $607,200 and will be funded through the 2023 certificates of obligation issuance as part of the ongoing capital improvement program, Rogers said.

While not directly connected to the future construction of FM 2920, the design of the project was in consideration of it.

Rogers said the construction is anticipated to last through July but can change depending on weather conditions.

“We ask residents and visitors to be careful during construction and watch for posted detours and construction information,” Rogers said.
