Tomball City Council is set to take a look at the city’s proposed fiscal year 2026-27 budget during two workshops next week.
Council members will begin discussing the budget July 20 before continuing the conversation during a special workshop July 22.
What you need to know
The first budget workshop will begin at 4 p.m. July 20, ahead of the council’s regular meeting at 6 p.m. The second workshop is scheduled for 2 p.m. July 22, and both meetings will be held at Tomball City Hall.
Council is expected to hear from Harris County Precinct 3 officials about proposed improvements to Broussard Community Park, plans for a future community center serving the Tomball area and potential upgrades at the Zion Road and East Hufsmith Road intersection.
Council could also approve an agreement allowing Harris County to provide up to $8 million for a community center and parking improvements at Mathews Park, along with drainage improvements at Broussard Park.
Under the draft agreement, the city would lease property at Broussard Park to the county for 30 years.
